Nefertiti Chaves Solano
PhDNefertiti Chaves Solano is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the LBI-NVPM, working at the interface of extracellular vesicle research and clinical translation in collaboration with the GMP Lab at PMU Salzburg. Her research focuses on the therapeutic application of human primary cell derived nanovesicles, with particular emphasis on understanding the mechanisms of action of MSC-EVs and addressing regulatory and GMP compliance aspects of EV Therapeutics.
She is a specialist in cell-based therapies and regenerative medicine, with extensive experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques, as well as in Good Cell and Tissue Practices, Good Clinical Practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices. Before joining the LBI-NVPM in April 2025, she completed her PhD at the University of Life Sciences, Vienna, in collaboration with the LBI-Traumatology, The Research Center in Cooperation with AUVA, Vienna. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology Engineering and an Master’s degree in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine from the FH Technikum, Vienna.
