Gabriel Spitzer
Gabriel Spitzer is a Research Assistant affiliated with the LBI-NVPM and the Institute of Tendon and Bone Regeneration at PMU Salzburg. His work currently focuses on developing surrogate assays to assess the biological activity of various EV preparations, with a primary focus on tendon biology and regeneration.
He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biology from the University of Salzburg and for his PhD he joined the group of Andreas Traweger at the Institute for Tendon and Bone Regeneration at the PMU in Salzburg. The main focus of his research was tendon inflammation and working with tendon explant models in bioreactors. After several years in the biotechnology industry, he returned to academic research, contributing both scientific expertise and technical support.
