Dr. Martina Dicker is a Senior Scientist at the Meisner-Kober’s lab, where she leads in vivo studies and histology and contributes to teaching at the Bachelor’s and Master’s levels. Her work supports the investigation of disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies within the institute’s research programs.

She holds a Master’s degree in Biological Chemistry from the University of Vienna and a doctoral degree in Biotechnology from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna (BOKU), where her research focused on glyco-engineering of human IgA1. She later joined the La Jolla Institute for Immunology in California as a postdoctoral researcher, where she worked on in vivo models of inflammatory bowel diseases, particularly ulcerative colitis, and developed expertise in intestinal pathology. Her research background reflects a long-standing interest in disease mechanisms and their pathological basis.
