LBI-NVPM at Long Night of Research 2026 in Salzburg

On April 24, 2026, the Long Night of Research, Austria’s largest event dedicated to science and innovation, will once again invite citizens to explore research across Salzburg. As part of the event, our LBI-NVPM scientists will be presenting nanovesicle research at booth 26 at Unipark Nonntal.

Celebrating its 10th edition in Salzburg, the Long Night of Research will once again open doors that are normally closed to the public and invite visitors of all ages to experience science up close. The Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Nanovesicular Precision Medicine (LBI-NVPM) will be one of the participating research institutesVisit us at our booth #26 at the Unipark Nonntal and learn more about the fascinating world of nanovesicle research. Join in for hands-on experiments to isolate vesicles from lemons or beer yourself, or even let yourself be packaged into and traffic inside a three-meter-sized (mega)-nanovesicle!

Held every two years across Austria, the Long Night of Research promotes insight into research institutions, giving visitors the opportunity to discover science in an engaging and accessible way.

From 5 to 11pm, more than 160 stations across the city of Salzburg, Puch-Urstein, Kuchl, and Saalfelden will present current projects, technologies, and scientific discoveries through interactive demonstrations, hands-on experiments, lectures, and guided tours. The event aims to make research visible and tangible while encouraging dialogue between scientists and the public.
